One person has been taken to hospital with unknown injuries after a house was levelled late Saturday morning on Marshall Street near Little Avenue in Barrie
A fire department spokesperson was unsure where the injured person was at the time of the reported explosion.
The spokesperson added that it was an active scene and there was some damage to neighbouring homes on either side of the residence.

It’s unknown whether other people were in the home when the blast occurred.
People who live in the area posted to social media that they felt their homes shake, with one individual commenting that they thought their kids were moving furniture.
The cause of the blast is unknown.
