8.32pm
A 59-run partnership comes to an end
Ben Dwarshuis smashes one to Markram at mid-off.
Out for 17 from 19 balls as Maphaka gets his second wicket.
32 balls left in the innings. David time approaching.
Australia 7-134 after 14.4 overs
8.24pm
Half century for David off 29 balls
Great knock from David. Has held this innings together when teammates have dropped like flies.
Goes from 38 to 50 in three balls with a hook shot for six, a couple of runs down the ground and then a beautiful cover drive for four.
“This guy is a star,” says Kerry O’Keeffe in commentary for Fox.
Superb crowd catch too.
Australia 6-122 from 13 overs
8.18pm
David belts a six to push Australia beyond 100
Tim David has clearly had enough.
Muthusamy, who’s gone for just two runs from two overs, gives David a bit of room. Muscles it over cover for six. So difficult to do with no pace on the ball. Such a strong bloke.
Ben Dwarshuis is doing a decent job at the other end to stem the flow of wickets (nine runs off 11).
An even contest at the moment. Get the sense that if David can get to the end of 15 overs, that’s about the time he’ll try and explode.

Australia 6-88 after 10 overs
Tim David knocking them around and pulling things back a little. Interesting to see where things go in the next five overs. Ben Dwarshuis in much earlier than he would like.
8.01pm
Maxwell gone as Australia in major strife
A great little over here from Muthusamy, the left-arm spinner. Sends down three dots to Glenn Maxwell – one would have been a wide but it hit the Australian on the toe – before getting his man.
Maxwell tries to go in the air in the off side but holes out in the deep to a great catch from Linde.
Awesome celebration. Australia could easily get bowled out here. Living and dying by the sword.
Australia 6-75 off 7.4 overs
7.57pm
Australia 5-73 in the seventh over
Weird start to this T20 fixture.
Australia are now five down inside seven overs as Mitch Owen has his off stump blown out of the ground trying to give himself a bit of room and blaze one over the offside. Sharp too at 143k/h from the left-armer in Maphaka.
Australia could get skittled here but a handy duo at the crease in David (19 off eight) and Maxwell.
Australia 5-75 off seven overs.
7.50pm
Green caught for 35
Green whips Ngidi for six off his pads before muscling one down the ground for four.
Two dots balls and then comes a wicket. Green, unsure whether to keep going at fifth gear, goes through with a shot but knew he was in strife given it was a slower ball. Straight in the air and caught easily for 35 off 13 balls.
Mitch Owen makes his way to the middle.
Australia 4-70 off 5.5 overs
7.45pm
Green has four sixes in seven balls
Brilliant start from Cameron Green who has decided he’s taking the aerial route tonight.
Anything full he is attacking down the ground.
Not a great first over from Bosch as David, having hit a four through cover to start the over, belts one over cover that clears the rope.
18 off the fifth over for Australia. A steady flow of wickets not bothering the home side.

7.36pm
Australia 3-30 as Marsh caught
Mitch Marsh perishes for 13 off seven balls after trying to launch one into leg side off Rabada.
Just doesn’t enough of it in the middle as Maphaka takes a ripper of a catch at deep backward square leg.
As Kerry O’Keeffe correctly points out, seldom is Tim David batting in the fourth over of innings.
Curious tactics from Australia who want to launch in the powerplay. That’s clearly evident as David clubs Rabada back over his head from the second ball he’d faced at the crease. Not bad against a bloke who has figures of 2-1.
Bit doing.
Australia 3-42 off four overs
7.31pm
Inglis gone for a golden duck
Drama for Australia.
Linde, a left-arm orthodox spinner, makes up for his dropped catch last over by removing Josh Inglis first ball.
Australia’s No.3 tries to cut one but slices it in the air to Muthusamy at point. Tried to work it a bit hard and pays the price.
Not ideal for Australia as South Africa look to run through Australia’s highly-rated top order.
Cam Green couldn’t care less though. A dot first ball and then whacks Linde for 4, 4, 6.
