Coast Guard units in Kerry assisted in two search and rescue operations over the last 24 hours.

Rescue Helicopter 115 was deployed yesterday to aid Schull and Toe Head/Glandore Coast Guards in the search for a missing French man from his home in West Cork.

20 year-old Jean-Baptiste Cordonnier, from Baltimore, was reported missing from his home on Thursday.

He was located safe and well yesterday following the Garda-led search.

In addition to this, Iveragh Coast Guard was called to assist Ballinskelligs Inshore Rescue (CRBI) yesterday afternoon, when a woman had a fall on Ballinskelligs beach around 12.30.

The woman suffered from minor injuries and was treated on the scene by South Doc, due to the difficulty for an ambulance to reach the location.
