Tributes have been paid to a Waterford father-of-four who died yesterday following a road traffic collision. 

Mark O’Sullivan (40s), Asgard Drive, Grange Manor, Waterford, sadly passed away having been involved in a collision on the Williamstown Road in Waterford City on Saturday afternoon, August 9th.

Sadly missed by his loving wife Tanya, son Ryan, daughters Brooke, Amelia and Chloe, parents Edward (Nedzer) and Mary, parents-in law Des and Patricia (Cuddihy), brother Keith, sisters Selena and Charlene and their partners Brian and John, brother-in-law David, sisters-in-law Colette, Katie, Charlotte and Morgan, nephews, nieces, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Mark will repose Thompson’s Funeral Home, Barrack Street, Waterford on Tuesday (12th August) from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm with vigil prayers and rosary at 8:00pm.

Mark’s Requiem Mass will take place in St. Mary’s Church, Ballygunner, Waterford (X91 FP21) on Wednesday (13th August) at 11:30 am followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

In a post on social media, the Déise Bikers Motorcycle Club paid tribute to Mark, describing him as “more than a boss, a genuine friend, and a gentleman.”

They said they acknowledge his passing with “great sadness, and a heavy heart.”

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.

Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 12.50pm and 1.30pm are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.

Homeowners along the Williamstown Road who may have CCTV footage are also asked to make this available to Gardaí.
