Salford school evacuated RECAP as police issue statement with students sent home after threat

The M.E.N. understands students have been sent home from Oasis Academy MediaCity, near Salford Quays, this morning.

It’s understood to follow a safety concern at the site, with further details yet to be confirmed.

A message was sent out to parents and carers a few moments ago, informing them that students were being sent home for the rest of the day.

Greater Manchester Police has been seen in attendance at the school.
