Ontario Provincial Police have confirmed that one individual is deceased following a head-on collision in the 4400 block of Road 38 in Harrowsmith, South Frontenac.
“On Thursday, May 7, 2026, at approximately 11:40 a.m., [officers] of the Frontenac Detachment…responded to a head-on collision involving two vehicles,” OPP said in a written statement on Thursday evening.
According to OPP, a 57-year-old female from South Frontenac was pronounced deceased at the scene, and two other individuals were transported to a local hospital, suffering from minor injuries.
OPP say they continue to investigate the collision, with assistance from the OPP’s East Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) team. Road 38 was closed between Quinn Road and Wilton Road for several hours and reopened shortly before 6 p.m.
