Even while the exchange of fire between Israel and Hezbollah heats up, a third round of talks is expected this Thursday between the Lebanese and Israeli delegations in Washington. No need to hold your breath over it – so far, the White House has failed to convince Lebanese President Joseph Aoun to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, much less talk to him by phone, and it seems like no such meeting will happen anytime soon.
