Interest in Arsenal’s key players is escalating ahead of Friday’s 18:30 BST deadline, with managers investing in all positions for the Gunners’ home match against Burnley.

But who are the other best Arsenal picks for Gameweek 37? Here, The Scout looks at the underlying numbers to reveal their favourite options

Who are Arsenal’s form players?

The Gunners’ goalkeeper and defenders have been their standout performers in Arsenal’s four matches across Gameweeks 33-36.

Raya and Gabriel lead the way on 26 and 25 points respectively, helping their side to clean sheets against Newcastle United, Fulham and West Ham United over the last three Gameweeks.

Saliba, nonetheless, has been the most consistent of them all, with the Frenchman also collecting defensive contribution points against Manchester City in Gameweek 33.

Gyokeres and Saka, meanwhile, have started just two of the Gunners’ last four matches, although both of those were in the last two Gameweeks.

Notably, the pair produced double-figure hauls against Fulham in Gameweek 35 before their blanks at West Ham on Sunday.

Gyokeres has delivered two goals, an assist and 20 points over Arsenal’s last four matches, while Saka has combined a goal and an assist for 14 points.

Who’s had the most attacking threat?

A delve into the underlying data over Gameweks 33-36 shows that it’s Leandro Trossard (£6.5m) who has been involved in the most big chances, which are situations where a player is expected to score.

Similarly to Gyokeres and Saka, Trossard has also made both of his starts during this spell in Gameweeks 35-36.

He has had two big chances of his own and created four more for his team-mates, which means he was involved in six big chances.

In terms of goal threat, Gyokeres and his fellow forward Kai Havertz (£7.3m) are tied on four big chances each over the last four Gameweeks, with the former’s seven shots in the box enough to claim top spot.

Saka’s numbers also merit attention, with the winger creating two big chances. Indeed, he has created a chance every 18 minutes since returning from injury in Gameweek 33.

Gabriel’s significant goal threat is also very much in evidence here, with the Brazilian’s six shots in the box claiming second spot over the same period

Who’s been the most consistent and explosive in home matches for Arsenal?

When it comes to consistency, Gabriel’s remarkable home record is clear to see.

The centre-back has produced a return (classed as a clean sheet, a goal, an assist or defensive contribution points) in 12 of his 14 home starts, a success rate (classed as producing either a clean sheet, a goal, an assist or defensive contribution points) of 85.7 per cent.

Gabriel has amassed 96 points across those 12 outings, which means he has averaged 8.0 points per successful start this season.

Calafiori is his closest challenger, producing a return in 80 per cent (eight out of his 10 home starts).

Burnley’s record in away matches, in particular, gives Arsenal the ideal chance to get another win AND boost their goal difference in their title battle with Man City.

The Clarets haven’t kept a clean sheet in any of their 18 road trips and have conceded a hefty 45 goals in away matches – at least 12 more than any other side.

An assessment of Arsenal’s key attackers across their starts at Emirates Stadium this season shows the huge risk and reward offered by Eze, Gyokeres and Trossard.

As you can see from the table above, both Eze and Gyokeres have averaged 9.8 points per successful home start this season, with Trossard just behind on 9.5.

Compared with Gabriel, however, it’s very clear to see they have all been far less reliable.

Eze is the best of the trio, producing a goal or an assist in five of his nine home starts this season, a success rate of 55.6 per cent.

Gyokeres and Trossard, meanwhile, have scored or assisted in only four of their 12 and 11 home starts respectively – that’s success rates of just 33.3 and 36.4 per cent.

Rice and Saka have been Arsenal’s most consistent attackers, with success rates of 62.5 and 58.3 per cent.

Of the two, however, it’s Saka who has the clear advantage for points ceiling, leading Rice by 7.6 points per successful home match to the 5.7 of Rice.

So, who are the best Arsenal players to own for GW37?

Gabriel has been a must-have for some time now and if you are looking to double up at the back, Calafiori is the defender most likely to reward your faith provides he recovers from that knock that forced him off last weekend.

If you’d prefer to double up on the Arsenal attack, Saka’s consistency in home matches is superior to his rivals. Pairing him with a high risk/reward asset can pay off against the Clarets’ poor defence and it’s Gyokeres’ goal threat, due to his superior number of big chances, that makes a more appealing asset than Eze or Trossard.
