Melissa Kohle-Derkachenko visited the Walmart in North Battleford, Sask., on April 5, less than three days before she was found dead, according to store footage RCMP released on Thursday.
The footage shows what the 65-year-old woman from North Battleford was wearing the last time she was seen alive, RCMP said in a news release.
Officers responded around 2:45 p.m. CST on April 8 to a report that a woman had been found dead at a home on 20th Street West in the nearby town of Battleford. They later identified her as Kohle-Derkachenko.
“Investigators are releasing the video of Melissa so people can see what she looks like and what she was wearing the last time she was seen,” RCMP said in the release.
“It is their hope that tips from the public may help develop a clearer timeline of events leading up to her death, which is considered a homicide.”
