It is a 14-page file that was never meant to see the light of day. An internal document, file number 23-178. Its title: “Information Gathering Report – Yaron Avni.” Written three years ago, it tracked the activities of Avni, then a counselor at the Democratic School in Hod Hasharon. Those were the days of the protest movement against the judicial overhaul, and Avni, like many others, wrote passionately against the government’s initiatives.
