A 44-year-old Toronto man faces multiple charges, including assault, after police say two people were stabbed during a road rage incident on Highway 401 near Brimley Road in Scarborough.

Police say they responded to the incident around 4:37 p.m. on Monday, by which point all parties had left the scene.

The victims, 35 and 31, took themselves to the hospital, police say. The 35-year-old sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries, while police say the 31-year-old’s injuries were minor.

Both parties had exited their vehicles on the shoulder of the highway, when the 44-year-old man allegedly confronted the others and stabbed them.

Toronto police are asking anyone with information to contact them or Crime Stoppers.
