Manchester United have been told they must sign players with a ‘good attitude’ this summer – and to avoid bringing in Rafael Leao.
The upcoming transfer window has been described as ‘critical’ for Michael Carrick‘s side after their third place finish last term.

talkSPORT understands United are already close to completing the signing of Atalanta’s Ederson.
The midfielder is on the verge of becoming Carrick’s first signing in a £35million deal.
Meanwhile, long-term target Leao has once again been linked with a move to Old Trafford.
The 26-year-old has announced publicly he wants a new challenge this summer after seven years with AC Milan.

Leao joined the Italian giants from Lille in 2019 for £43million and has two years remaining on his current deal.
However, Dean Saunders has warned the Red Devils over a move for the Portugal international.
It comes amid reports Leao is on the club’s shortlist of targets as they look to sign a new winger, with Milan missing out on the Champions League.
Leao warning
Saunders discussed the deal on Monday’s talkSPORT Breakfast show alongside Jeff Stelling and Olivia Buzaglo.
During the Transfer Tinder segment, the trio gave their stance on a series of prospective Premier League deals which could emerge this summer.
When asked about United’s potential move for Leao, Saunders explained: “Every Man United signing right now is critical.

“With the mistakes they’ve made over the last ten years, they’ve got to get it right.”
The former Wales striker continued: “Has he got a good attitude? I’d just sign him, he’s obviously a decent player, but what’s his attitude like? You can’t let him in the door if he’s got a bad attitude.
“Man United are getting better, the players (Bryan) Mbeumo, (Matheus) Cunha they’ve signed, they’re better than the players they’ve had who were just picking their wages up. Lazy.
“You’ve got to sign the right attitude and the club will end up like Arsenal are now. Good attitude in the club.”
Last summer, United signed four players as Benjamin Sesko, Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha and Senne Lammens joined the club.
Those arrivals all went on to establish themselves in the side, playing key roles as Carrick secured Champions League football after his appointment in January.

Saunders’ stance was echoed by Stelling, who added: “I’ve never been convinced with him.
“Milan have had a miserable season by their standards. He’s got ten goals, which is OK.”
Meanwhile, Saunders concluded: “Do you score goals? If you score goals, do you work hard? If you do both, come and sign for me.
“I’ve not seen enough of him, so I’m going to swipe left.”

Leao scored ten goals and added three assists in 31 appearances across all competitions last season.
Though his performances were enough to earn a spot in the Portugal squad for this summer’s World Cup.
