€124,500 has been allocated to sports and community initiatives across County Mayo.
This has been confirmed by Minister of State Alan Dillon, with the funding coming from the Dormant Accounts Fund.
Fine Gael Minister Dillon says the funding will help to ensure that new opportunities and new sports are opened to people of all abilities and backgrounds across the county.
Nationally, over €4 million has been made available in funding.
In Mayo, Minister Dillon says that €74,500 will be allocated to sports hubs, €20,000 for volunteer supports, and €30,000 for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion projects.
