The assets of the corrupt former SNP chief executive exceed the amount he embezzled.

Disgraced Peter Murrell has £600,000 worth of pensions as he faces legal moves to repay the money he stole from the SNP.
His assets were revealed in court documents over a week after he pled guilty to embezzling over £400,000 from the SNP.
Murrell, who was the SNP chief executive for decades, is the subject of a restraint order under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2022.
Lodged with the Registers of Scotland agency, the order lists his assets, including the home he owns with estranged wife Nicola Sturgeon.
The restraint order, first seen by The Scotsman, states it is “interdicting him from dealing with” the assets.
The first asset listed is the Niesmann Bischoff motorhome he paid for with stolen SNP funds.
The second asset is “the sum of £613,496.04″ within two Legal and General pension accounts.
The Uddingston property he shares with the former First Minister is regarded as being “up to the value of £88,632”.
Murrell’s assets exceed the value of the sums he stole, which suggests full repayment could be possible.
At Edinburgh High Court on Tuesday, his lawyer, John Scullion KC, said that “a restraint order” had been made in relation to Murrell.
Sturgeon, who denied any prior knowledge of her estranged husband’s wrongdoing, said at the weekend:
“There will now be, I would imagine, a legal process to recover the money from Peter that he embezzled form the SNP. That will be a legal process.
“I am not guilty of that embezzlement so nothing that belongs to me should be part of that, rightly. But will that process impact on me? Of course it will.”
Murrell will be sentenced later this month.
