An estimated 800,000 people flocked to Wexford town over eight brilliant days for Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann

It seemed rather appropriate that Wexford town awoke to a haze on Monday morning in the immediate aftermath of Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2025. Tired bodies, hoarse voices and a few sore heads shuffled around streets that seemed strikingly empty compared to the jubilant scenes that had engulfed them in the hours and days before.
“Ah, it was brilliant,” and other such variations were exchanged by the townspeople, before they eventually arrived at a sobering thought. “What are we going to do next summer?”
