Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich announced that tomorrow he will hold a press conference with Yesha Council head Israel Gantz and Ma’ale Adumim Mayor Guy Ifrach to present the E1 plan – for building 3,401 new housing units in the city. According to him, “This is a historic achievement in the settlement struggle. After more than 20 years of political freeze due to aggressive pressure from world countries and the Palestinian Authority – the E1 plan is moving forward. The plan effectively connects Ma’ale Adumim to Jerusalem and cuts off the Arab continuity between Ramallah and Bethlehem, and is considered the final nail in the coffin of the Palestinian state idea.”
