Calgary police have charged a 68-year-old man with voyeurism, alleging he offered short-term lodging to women he met through his position with a local church and then recorded intimate images of them without their consent.

Police say the recordings happened over the span of a decade and there are at least three victims.

They allege the man used “multiple devices” to record the images at his home in the city’s southwest.

Police began their investigation in November 2024 after being notified that “intimate photos and videos of women staying at a residence were found on the homeowner’s tablet.”

Police say they executed a search warrant at the man’s residence in the 100 block of Westwood Drive S.W. in March and seized “multiple electronic devices” containing 1,500 photos and 19 videos of an intimate nature.

They say the offences occurred between 2016 and 2025.

Brad Dewar has been charged with three counts of voyeurism. He is set to appear in court on Sept. 22.
