A homicide investigation is underway in Aurora after a man found with “significant trauma” died on Wednesday.

York Regional Police say they were called to Wellington Street East and Walton Drive at 2:45 p.m.

Officers found the victim inside the residence, and police said he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of death is unknown.

Meanwhile, six people have been taken into custody, police say.

No charges have been laid at this time.

The circumstances surrounding the incident are not immediately clear.
