President Donald Trump and Vice President JD denied on Friday the peace deal with Iran would heavily favor Tehran, amid reports Iran would not be required to give up control of the Strait of Hormuz and the U.S. would immediately provide Iran with relief from economic sanctions.

Trump said on Truth Social “the terms that Iran leaked out to the Fake News have NOTHING to do with the terms that were agreed to, in writing,” calling the Iranians “very dishonorable people to deal with.”

Trump did not say which specific terms that have been reported are untrue or clarify anything that’s in the agreement.

Vance wrote on X he’s “seeing a lot of fake information about a potential deal,” and said the “Iranians are not receiving any cash, and no funds are being released for simply signing a deal or attending a meeting.”
