At about 1.15pm on Sunday, August 10, emergency services were called to the Nicholson River, Doomadgee, after reports of a man in the water.
Police found the man unresponsive, and he was later declared dead.
The 43-year-old had last been seen in Doomadgee on August 5.

An investigation into the man’s death is underway.
