But here’s where it gets really interesting — this isn’t about the glittery, on-stage moments we all witnessed night after night. Taylor — the intentional queen she is — was very deliberate about this distinction when she discussed her album cover choice.

“The reason I wanted to have an offstage moment as the main album cover is because this album isn’t really about what happened to me on stage. It’s about what I was going through offstage,” she explained.

“This to me tells more of what the actual contents lyrically of the album are.”

This is about the private moments, the behind-the-scenes emotions, the real Taylor living her life away from the spotlight.

As we all now know, the symbolic colour of this album is orange, and there’s actually a deeply personal reason behind this choice that’ll make you want to cry happy tears.

“It feels energetically how my life has felt. And this album is about what was going on behind the scenes in my inner life during this score, which was so exuberant and electric and vibrant,” Taylor said.

“It just comes from like the most infectiously joyful, wild, dramatic place I was in my life. And so that effervescence has come through on this record. And like as you said, bangers.”

The bottom line? GOOD VIBES ARE COMING OUR WAY. Be prepared for glitter gel pen pop (a Swiftie phrase that describes her happiest, poppiest love songs).
