SAN ANTONIO – A suspect is barricaded in a far North Side home after a San Antonio police officer was shot Friday, according to SAPD Chief William McManus.

The shooting happened around 12:30 p.m. in the 100 block of Red Hawk Ridge, which is located near Hardy Oak Boulevard.
Details on the shooting are limited. However, McManus said an officer was shot. At this time, the officer’s condition is unknown.
SWAT officers and negotiators are currently on the scene, the chief said.
The incident has drawn a massive response from law enforcement. Multiple residents in the neighborhood have been evacuated from their homes.
