The Miami Hurricanes received a hard commitment per 247 Sports from Israel Abrams. Abrams, a five-star quarterback out of Illinois, is the no.9 overall player and no.2 QB in the class of 2027.
As a junior QB at Montini Catholic, Abrams led his team to a 14-0 record and the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) Class 4A Championship. As the starting QB Abrams threw 40 touchdown passes on only six interceptions while completing nearly 69% of his passes.
A big play threat, the 6-foot-4 passer averaged 11.9 yards per pass attempt in ‘25. Abrams also scored 10 times on the ground. As of now Abrams would rank as the 19th highest rated recruit in Illinois Prep history just after Marquise Lightfoot (Miami) and above Tim Jamison (Michigan, Houston Texans).
