Body of man (60s) recovered following Boatstrand search operation

The body of a man in his 60s was recovered from the water at Boatstrand, Co. Waterford, this morning following a major search operation.

Emergency services were alerted after reports of a man in difficulty at around 9 am.

Rescue 117, the Coast Guard helicopter based in Waterford, was deployed along with the Tramore RNLI lifeboat and multiple shore units.
