Area of concern stretches from the Manitoba border to Shebandowan.
THUNDER BAY – A swath of Northwestern Ontario is under an orange tornado watch.
Environment Canada issued the alert just before 12:30 p.m. on Monday, and warn the public if a warning is issued, for people to go indoors to a room on the lowest floor of a building, away from outside walls and windows, such as a basement, a bathroom, a stairwell or an interior closet.
The current tornado watch is in place and stretches from the Manitoba border, as far north as Grassy Narrows, along the border with the United States and as far east as Shebandowan.
