Adelaide takes on Collingwood this Saturday night

Adelaide has made four changes for its clash against Collingwood at Adelaide Oval on Saturday night.

All-time leading goalkicker Taylor Walker returns to the line-up after being managed for last weekend’s trip to Perth.

Midfielder Harry Schoenberg will make his first AFL appearance of the season, and will play the role of substitute against the Magpies.

Adelaide Head of Football Adam Kelly said Schoenberg’s inclusion was a credit to his hard work throughout the season.

‘It’s exciting that Harry gets his chance this week after a run of good form in the SANFL,” Kelly said.

“The attitude of the entire playing group throughout the year has been particularly pleasing and they have embraced a squad mentality when it comes to AFL selection.

“Harry has been a shining example of this and his teammates were very excited to hear that he was coming into the team. It is the culmination of a lot of hard work.”

Veteran defender Brodie Smith also returns, replacing the suspended Rory Laird in the Crows’ back six, while Lachlan Murphy will play his first game at AFL level since Round 14.

“We trust Murph to play any role asked of him and he gives himself wholeheartedly to the team. We certainly value this,” Kelly said.

Forward Luke Pedlar comes out of the side after suffering a hamstring strain at training on Wednesday evening, which will be further assessed, while Chris Burgess has been omitted.

Chris Burgess, Jordon Butts and Billy Dowling are the emergencies.
