TSN’s Chris Johnston reports that the Toronto Maple Leafs have signed forward Jack Roslovic to a two-year, $8MM ($4MM AAV) contract.
The deal brings a right-shot scoring forward to Toronto, which had pursued Roslovic in free agency a year ago before he ultimately signed with Edmonton. A necessary gap for the Leafs to fill after losing Matias Maccelli to the Islanders in free agency earlier this afternoon.
Roslovic, 29, is coming off a productive season with the Oilers, posting 21 goals and 36 points in 69 games in 2025-26. This marks back-to-back 20-goal seasons for the former first-round draft pick who will look to continue the trend for a Toronto team hungry to get back into the postseason after missing this past season.
A Columbus, Ohio native and former Miami University standout, Roslovic offers middle-six versatility, capable of playing both center and wing, with a finishing touch that has produced secondary scoring on each of the previous five franchises he has been a part of.
Roslovic’s speed and versatility let him slot in anywhere in the lineup, giving a Leafs forward group with plenty of moving parts some welcome flexibility.
