The odds of winning the Lotto jackpot are about one in 45,057,474. The new Lotto format has improved the overall chances of winning any prize, with odds increasing from one in 9.3 to one in 4.9, according to National Lottery operator Allwyn.
The Thunderball draw, which has a top prize of £500,000, will take place at 8.15pm. To win the top prize, a player must match all five main numbers plus the Thunderball.
The odds of winning the top prize are about one in 8,060,598. Other prizes, ranging from £3 to £5,000, are also up for grabs. Players have a one in 13 chance of winning any prize in each Thunderball draw.
