The Civil Aviation Authority
says it is unable to confirm details.
“We are currently in communication with Airways to gather information,” a spokeswoman said.
“When I have it available, I will be able to update you – I am unable to give you a timeframe, but will share as soon as I can.“
Air New Zealand, Jetstar, and multiple airports have been contacted for comment.
The Herald has also sought comment from Associate Transport Minister James Meager who has responsibility for Civil Aviation.
