ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) -A woman who went missing after her home was flooded Friday in Crawford County was found dead.
According to Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, Faith Gregory was found at approximately 11:30 a.m. at 1.8 miles downstream from her residence.
Personnel of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, Steelville Fire Protection District, Quad County Fire Protection District, and the Crawford County Coroner responded to the scene.
“This is not the outcome that any of us were hoping for. Our thoughts and prayers are with Faith’s family, friends, and all those affected by this tragic loss,” Crawford County Sheriff’s Office said in a post.
Savanna Ware told First Alert 4 that Gregory was last seen Friday morning around 3-4 a.m. near Missouri V and Davisville Road in Davisville, on top of a canoe. Ware said she had her four dogs, one of which was found, but the other three remain missing. Ware said Gregory was carried by the current and the search had included along Missouri V to Huzzah.
