3Stay tuned to Heavy for all the latest updates from today’s UFC 319: Du Plessis vs. Chimaev card in Chicago!

Tonight’s main event will see middleweight champion Dricus du Plessis look to defend his middleweight title against undefeated contender Khamzat Chimaev. Since winning the title back in 2024, DDP has rattled off back-to-back title defenses, defeating former middleweight kingpin Israel Adesanya and, most recently, Sean Strickland.

Now, he collides with the most dangerous first-round threat he’s ever faced, two-time Swedish National Wrestling champion Khamzat Chimaev, who is fresh off a stunning win over Robert Whittaker back in October.

In the co-main event, streaking contender Lerone Murphy will look to put a stamp on his case for a crack at the title, while on the flip side, famed American grappler Aaron Pico will look to prove that he has what it takes to compete against the best of the best.

Despite the loss of the Battle vs. Ruziboev fight and the TUF 33 welterweight finale bout between Rodrigo Sezinando and Daniil Donchenko, today’s UFC 319: Du Plessis vs. Chimaev card is expected to produce fireworks.
