A swimmer died at the hospital after getting rescued from the ocean off the coast of Sea Isle City at the Jersey Shore on Friday, officials said Saturday.
At around 4 p.m. on Friday, July 17, the Sea Isle City Beach Patrol responded to a report of a man who had gone under the water, officials said.
First responders were able to rescue the unidentified man and perform life-saving measures, but he was later pronounced dead at the hospital, officials said.
The incident remains under investigation, and no further information was immediately available.
