Here are Monday’s latest updates:
■ The U.S. military began another wave of strikes on Iran overnight into Monday, marking the ninth consecutive night of fire in the Gulf, U.S. Central Command said.
■ In response, Iran’s Revolutionary Guards said they launched ballistic missiles targeting U.S. aircraft at Jordan’s Aqaba airport.
■ A U.S. service member was killed on Saturday “during a controlled detonation of unexploded ordnance” from a “downed Iranian one-way attack drone” in northern Iraq, U.S. Central Command said.
■ The U.S. Embassy in Manama, Bahrain’s capital, warned it has information to suggest that Iran may seek to target unspecified locations in the city’s center.
■ A ship caught fire in the Strait of Hormuz near the coastline of Oman, the British military said.
■ The Revolutionary Guards said two oil tankers had exploded and been immobilised after attempting to transit what it described as an unsafe southern route through the Strait of Hormuz, adding that the waterway would remain unsafe as long as what it called U.S. “aggression” in the region continued.
■ Two Palestinians were killed by IDF gunfire after Israeli troops and settlers raided the town of Deir Jarir, near Ramallah in the West Bank, the Palestinian Health Ministry said.
