Evacuation orders issued in Alameda County grows to 950 acres, injures firefighter

A wildfire south of Pleasanton in Alameda County prompted evacuation orders Tuesday, according to CAL FIRE.

The blaze, called the Little Fire, was reported near Vallecitos Road and Little Valley Road in Sunol, according to CAL FIRE. As of Tuesday evening, the fire had grown to 1,007 acres and was 40% contained.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

CAL FIRE said the fire is being managed under unified command by the CAL FIRE Santa Clara Unit and the Alameda County Fire Department. Crews from multiple agencies have responded.

Evacuation orders were issued for zones ALC-072, PLS-079, PLS-080, PLS-081, PLS-082 and PLS-103, according to CAL FIRE.

One firefighter injury has been reported. No civilian injuries were listed Tuesday evening.
