A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: “We are appealing for information after a man died following a collision in Birmingham.
“We were called to Tyburn Road, Birmingham, near to the junction of Walker Drive, at around 2.15am following reports of a serious collision.
“A 33-year-old man, the driver of a grey Ford Focus was found seriously injured. Sadly, he died at the scene.
“Two passengers were taken to hospital with serious injuries, where they remain.
“Enquiries are underway to establish the exact circumstances of the collision.
“The road currently remains closed but is expected to reopen later this morning.
“Investigators ask that anyone who was in the area at the time and has dashcam footage or information, contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on email at SCIU@westmidlands.police.uk
