Live: Funeral for Sen. Lindsey Graham
WASHINGTON —
The funeral services for the late U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham are taking place in Washington, D.C.
2:30 p.m.:
President Donald J. Trump delivered remarks at the service, citing Graham’s accomplishments.
11 a.m.:
Sen. Graham’s remains travel to Washington National Cathedral for a funeral service, set to start at 2 p.m.
10 a.m.:
The morning service in the Capitol Rotunda drew Vice President JD Vance, Cabinet officials, current and former senators and lawmakers, as well as Graham’s staff, friends and family, including his sister, now- Sen. Darline Graham, who was appointed by the state’s governor to fill the remainder of her brother’s term.
Vance described Graham as a man of “swashbuckling” stature — “who swashbuckled into the Senate” with his suit jacket open — and was impossible not to like.
“A true American original,” Vance said.

Services in South Carolina
On Wednesday, July 29, South Carolina funeral services will begin with a procession to the South Carolina State House around 10:45 a.m. The public is invited to pay respects along the procession route.
The funeral procession will begin on the south side of the State House to the north side via the West Walkway. His remains will be carried by the South Carolina State Guard caisson detachment. There will be a presentation of law enforcement from agencies across South Carolina on the North steps of the State House. A F-16 flyover via the 169th Fighter Wing from McEntire Joint National Guard Base is scheduled around 11 a.m. The caisson will proceed down Main Street and arrive at First Baptist Church of Columbia. Seating will be first come, first served.
The funeral service will be followed by a private family burial in Pickens County.
