Fulham after another Real Madrid starlet?

Fulham’s appointment of Alvaro Arbeloa seems to have created a bridge between Craven Cottage and the Santiago Bernabeu, with The Athletic reporting that the Whites are now keen on attacking midfielder Cesar Palacios.

It comes as Fulham make progress over a deal for striker Gonzalo Garcia, with a deal for Palacios, 21, also set to be a permanent one.

As the club often does with the sale of academy products, Madrid are expected to negotiate a deal for Palacios that contains rights and clauses over any future sales.

Fulham have also been linked with Real midfielder Franco Mastantuono.

Who could Arsenal turn to if they miss out on Vinicius Jr?

The Independent understands that Arsenal want to land a marquee signing this summer to cement their status as Premier League champions, while Mikel Arteta has wanted a first-choice left winger for several seasons.

There was an opportunity to explore a move for Vinicius Jr while the Real Madrid star entered the final year of his contract, but he is set to begin talk on an extension.

There is also interest in Julian Alvarez and Junior Kroupi, while PSG’s Bradley Barcola would also be an option – although an expensive one at £140m, with Liverpool also in the hunt.
