Rangers will go into the start of the new Premiership season on Friday with seven new signings – as well as one in the dugout, Derek McInnes.
But the former Hearts and Aberdeen boss is far from done on the recruitment front, with Gers looking to bulk up their squad even further with the qualification phase for the Europa League fast approaching.
Andrew Cavenagh and 49ers Enterprises have backed their new man to the hilt and one of those new recruits Lawrence Shankland has just been confirmed as the side’s club captain, replacing the departed James Tavernier.
However, McInnes also knows that trimming down his squad in order to balance the books is imperative and there is plenty talk about players being shown the door at Ibrox, just as much as there is about more new faces coming in.

Jens Hjerto-Dahl
The Light Blues have bolstered their midfield ranks with the additions of Ross McCrorie and Cammy Devlin in recent weeks. But one man fans are desperate to see pull on the jersey is Tromso starlet Jens Hjerto-Dahl.
The playmaker has been a long-term target for Gers and they saw a £5.4million offer booked out by the Elitserien side earlier this month. Hjerto-Dahl himself has declared he is ‘tempted’ by the chance to play for the Ibrox giants but also has a whole host of stellar interest elsewhere.
Cardiff City have launched an offer of nearly £8million for his services and I Tromso claim English Premier League new boys Hull City are reportedly the latest team to declare an interest in the 20-year-old.
However, Tromso transfer chief Lars Petter Kræmer-Andressen insists they have had no fresh approaches for the midfielder, who is with the squad for the second leg of their Conference League qualifying clash with Czech outfit Hradec Kralove on Thursday.
Olwethu Makhanya

South African international defender Olwethu Makhanya is poised to become Gers signing number eight of the window, with McInnes confirming he could be registered in time for their league opener away to Dundee United on Friday night.
The centre back is far from happy at Philadelphia Union and went AWOL from the MLS side last week after seeing a move to the Belgian Pro League blocked by his club.
But Rangers have now swooped to agree a deal worth around £3.3million for the 22-year-old, who was in the Bafana Bafana squad at the World Cup but did not make a single appearance.
Oliver Antman
Finland wide man Oliver Antman struggled to make an impact at Ibrox last season despite initially impressing following his switch from Go Ahead Eagles.
And after falling out of favour under new boss McInnes, the player is set to be moved on. Record Sport has revealed Belgian side Anderlecht are pushing for a deal worth upwards of £4million for the winger. Antman also has interest from Derby County and FC Twente.

Rangers are already short on natural wingers, and the sale of Antman could provide funds for some quickfire replacements, one being Coventry City youngster Jahnoah Markelo.
Record Sport understands the Light Blues are keen to take the 23-year-old on a season-long loan deal, who caught their eye at previous club FC Zurich.
Impressive displays in Switzerland won the player a £4.3million transfer to England 12 months ago but he featured just six times as Frank Lampard led the Sky Blues back into the Premier League for the first time in 25 years.
John Souttar
The arrival of England international Ben Godfrey on loan from Serie A powerhouses Atalanta has cast John Souttar’s future at Rangers into serious doubt.
The Scotland centre back only penned a new contract to keep him at Ibrox for the coming season earlier this year but could be sold amid growing interest from down south in his services. The 28-year-old is the subject of a transfer battle between Leicester City – where younger brother John plays – Sheffield United and Swansea City.
Ross McCausland

Rangers winger Ross McCausland is keen on a move back overseas. The Northern Irish international had a spell at Cypriot club Aris last season.
The 23-year-old has initial interest from a number of clubs in Europe and Major League Soccer. He is waiting to see what options firm-up and who are prepared to meet Rangers’ asking price.
A number of English One sides have already enquired but that is not an option that McCausland is looking into. Luton Town have asked the question to Rangers, but have indicated they can’t pay a fee or get anywhere the player’s current wage.
So that looks a non-runners, while bigger clubs in the same League have already reached out. McCausland has also trained well since he returned for pre-season under Derek McInnes. He has one-year left on his Ibrox contract.
Amario Cozier-Duberry
Gers were credited with an interest in Brighton starlet Amario Cozier-Duberry earlier this year. The winger helped Bolton win promotion back to the Championship in a loan spell last season and is still firmly on Rangers radar.
But a permanent deal for the ex Arsenal kid could cost them as much as £5million, with the Seagulls expecting big things from the 21-year-old further down the line.
Nobel Mendy

English Premier League new boys Hull City have launched a bid to sign full back Nobel Mendy.
The Senegal international was on Rangers’ radar last year before he swapped Real Betis for Rayo Vallecano.
And soruces in Spain now claim the Tigers have tabled an offer in the region of £15.4million for the 21-year-old.
