SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash.– UPDATE, 7:45 p.m. The Spokane Falls Community College evacuation shelter has lost power and is closing. Evacuees are being moved to the Spokane Convention Center.
UPDATE, 6:51 p.m. The Washington Department of Natural Resources says at least 5,000 structures are being threatened by the Old Trails Fire in north Spokane.
As of the last update, that fire is estimated to be 3,000 acres. Multiple homes have been lost in the fire so far, though the exact number is not known at this time.

UPDATE, 6:45 p.m. The American Red Cross has opened a second evacuation shelter at the Spokane Convention Center located at 334 West Spokane Falls Boulevard.
UPDATE, 5:37 p.m. Spokane city officials say multiple homes have been lost in an over 2,000-acre wildfire in north Spokane.
According to Erin Hut with the city, out of state crews from California have responded to help with this fire. It is unknown the exact number of homes that have been lost in the fire so far.
Please stay off the roads unless it is necessary. Evacuation orders are still in place.

UPDATE, 5:21 p.m. The Washington Department of Natural Resources says the Old Trails Fire that is causing thousands in North Spokane to evacuate is estimated to be over 2,000 acres.
UPDATE, 4:06 P.M. Emergency management says anyone evacuating from this fire should be moving eastbound. Use side streets as needed.
Spokane Police Department is asking everyone not to use Francis Ave unless you are evacuating.
UPDATE, 3:53 P.M. Evacuation orders have been expanded north all the way to West Rutter Parkway.
Anyone living in the area between the Spokane River and Division Street need to leave immediately.
All other evacuations are still in place.

UPDATE, 3:25 p.m. Evacuation orders have been expanded south along Division street for a fast-moving wildfire.
People living between West Wellesley Avenue and West Price Avenue need to leave immediately. There are also new evacuation orders for people living south of West North Five Mile Road until Francis Avenue.
Level 2 (Be Set) evacuations have been ordered between Division Street and Nevada Street in north Spokane.

Evacuation warnings have been upgraded to evacuation orders for people in the area due to a wildfire.

Update 2:47 p.m. More level three evacuations have been ordered for a fire burning North of Airway Heights.
Update: 2:34 p.m. North 291 Francis Ave is now limited to evacuation traffic only according to the emergency alert system. Please avoid area if you are not evacuating.
A Wildland fire is burning North of Airway Heights is forcing evacuations. This fire is near the intersection of Old Trails Rd and W Euclid Rd.
