The Cathaoirleach of the West Clare Municipal District says there’s extreme annoyance and frustration in Miltown Malbay following a violent assault last night.
Gardaí continue to investigate a public order incident involving a number of individuals at Main Street, Miltown Malbay that occurred on Sunday at approximately 7.10pm.
Four males (two aged in their 20’s, one aged in his 30’s and one in his 40’s) sustained injuries, believed to be non-life-threatening at this time.
One of the males (aged in his 20’s) received medical treatment at the scene. The two males (aged in their 30’s and 40’s) were subsequently conveyed to University Hospital Limerick for treatment.
The scene was preserved for technical examination.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this incident to come forward.
Anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident, including road users with video / dashcam footage from the area at this time, is asked to make contact with investigating Gardaí.
