Following a review of current wildfire conditions, the province-wide restriction on all off-road vehicles on forested land has been extended. It will remain in effect until 11:59 p.m., Wednesday, August 20, 2025, when it will be reviewed based on the forecasted wildfire index and fire behaviours.

This temporary restriction applies to all off-road vehicles travelling on, through or near forested lands in areas where the Fire Weather Index is classified as either high, very high, or extreme. Forested land includes land with trees and shrubs, dry marsh or bogland. It also includes trails and forest roads that are surrounded by forest land.

The Fire Hazard Map can be found here. As the province is currently under a province-wide fire ban, please click on the ‘hide fire bans’ button on the top of the map to view the fire weather index for the day. This map is updated daily at 2:00 p.m. NST.

An off-road vehicle includes:

an all-terrain vehicle, including a side-by-side
a mini-bike, dirt-bike and trail-bike
a miniature vehicle, such as a dune or sport buggy
an off-road maintenance machine
an amphibious vehicle
a motorized snow vehicle
