MIAMI — OnlyFans model Courtney Clenney, accused of killing her boyfriend, Christian Obumseli, in 2022, is expected to accept a plea deal Monday.

If the court accepts the plea, Clenney’s trial will not happen, bringing an end to the case.
Clenney’s legal team says she is ready to accept a plea deal from the State Attorney’s Office. It is not yet known how much prison time she will agree to.
Clenney, 30, has been jailed in Miami since her 2022 arrest on a second-degree murder charge. She is accused of killing her on-and-off boyfriend inside their luxury Edgewater apartment four years ago.

Investigators broke the news of Obumseli’s death to Clenney during a police interview.
On the outside, the couple appeared to be in love and living a lavish lifestyle. But since Obumseli’s death, videos have shown a turbulent side to their relationship.
Clenney was seen hitting Obumseli in an elevator. On a trip to Aspen, she was also seen repeatedly slapping him.
That fight happened two months before Obumseli was stabbed. Clenney’s lawyers say the April 2022 stabbing was in self-defense.
The videos, along with a mountain of digital evidence, were part of the evidence prosecutors planned to use to prove their case at trial.
The State Attorney’s Office says Clenney was abusive and violent.
The Obumseli family plans to attend Monday’s hearing and read victim impact statements before the court decides whether to accept the plea.
“It’s never a slam dunk case,” defense attorney Jack Palmeri said. “You never know what 12 jurors are going to do in a case — nothing is ever a gimme when it comes to trial, so everyone has exposure.”
Palmeri said the Obumseli family would have needed to sign on off on the deal.
“I think, theoretically, this is a done deal, but yes, technically speaking in the literal sense, this is not done until on the record in court the judge signs off on it,” Palmeri said.
A lawyer for the Obumseli family says they have been involved in conversations surrounding the plea.
Clenney’s lawyers plan to answer questions from the media following the hearing.
