OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Omaha Police are investigating a shooting reported near 90th Street and West Center Road as a road rage incident.
OPD said in a briefing at the scene that medics took one person to the hospital in serious condition. Another person is in custody.
Early reports indicate police were responding to reports that shots had been fired in traffic in the area. OPD confirmed in the briefing that officers are investigating reports that the shooting involved two eastbound vehicles occurred, with shots fired west of intersection at 90th and Center.
There are no suspects at large, but OPD is asking the public for help with any information that might be useful to the shooting investigation. Anyone with such information can contact Omaha Crimestoppers at 402-444-STOP (7867) or use the P3 Tips app or the website to submit a tip.
Meanwhile, police had West Center Road blocked off at 96th Street while the investigation continued for around two hours.
Eastbound W Center Road is currently blocked at 96th as OPD investigates a shooting. Eastbound traffic will detour to the south on the frontage road to 96th Street.
