WOODLAWN — Tickets to visit the Obama Presidential Center’s museum in Woodlawn are sold out through the end of the year — but a new batch of tickets will drop Wednesday for anyone who’s still looking to snag some.
The Obama Foundation will release new tickets at 10 a.m. on the second Wednesday of each month.
The tickets are for select dates through Jan. 3. In an announcement email last month, the Obama Center said that it predicts the virtual queue will be long: “We expect high demand for tickets, and you may experience a wait when purchasing your Museum tickets. Please be patient — your spot in line is saved.”
Ticket buyers will be asked to select a time and date for entry; the center recommends having a few dates in mind in case your first choice is sold out.
Tickets range in price from $15 to $30. They allow entry into the museum, but other parts of the Obama Presidential Center are ticketless and free to explore — including the Forum event space, Home Court athletic facility and Chicago Public Library branch.
The center is located at 6001 S. Stony Island Ave.
Upcoming public events at the center include an “Encanto” movie screening Tuesday, a conversation with chefs and food leaders about how food tells the story of America on Saturday and a comedy event with Bill Nye, Keegan-Michael Key and Sophie Shrand on Aug. 28.
