Kjerrumgaard said a slight change of formation, with Irankunda more central, was the key to their good start against QPR.
“In the first game, we were a bit too far from each other. We had a lot of long balls and I didn’t really have anyone to lay it off to,” the 6ft 4in striker added.
“It was hard because you felt like you were playing one against three all the time. It was better this way, but we will see what we do next.”
Kjerrumgaard helped Odense win promotion to the Danish top-flight last season with 22 goals in 28 games, but asked about a possible target this term, he said: “I don’t like to say that. The most important thing for me is we win if I do my best and work hard for the team – all these things are going to come in the end.”
