One person is dead after a Toronto police-involved shooting in North York on Saturday afternoon.
Toronto police said in a social media post that they responded to the area of Wilson and King High Avenues, east of Allen Road, at 1:24 p.m. for reports of a “damaged vehicle driving erratically.”
The vehicle was involved in a collision and was attempting to flee the scene.
Police said they then arrived, and during an interaction with the driver, one officer discharged their firearm.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. No officers were injured.
