Officers and crime scene investigators are on site to determine the causes of the accident.

The Montreal Police Service confirmed to The Canadian Press that the case will be transferred to the Commission on Standards, Equity, Health, and Safety at Work, as it is a workplace accident.

Editor’s Note: A previous version of this story said a traffic controller was struck by a plane. The Canadian Press has since corrected the story to state it was a ground crew worker.
