A Heritage Walk scheduled in Inver has been cancelled as a mark of respect following the tragic death of a local teenager.
The walk was due to take place at the Old Rectory on Saturday afternoon.
“Our thoughts are with the family and the entire community at this difficult time,” said a notice from the Inver and Mountcharles Parish.
Gardaí are investigating the death of a local teenager following the incident in Inver on Monday night.
Gardaí confirmed that the boy sustained serious injuries at a rural location and was airlifted to Sligo University Hospital, where he passed away.
He was a third-year pupil at the Abbey Vocational School in Donegal Town. The school is open this afternoon and tomorrow morning to offer support to any students and staff in the school community.
