Big rig dangles off bridge on I-80 near the California-Nevada line
FLORISTON, Calif. —
A solo big rig crash has led to the closure of eastbound Interstate 80 at Hirschdale on Friday, the California Highway Patrol said.
CHP said the big rig lost control on a bridge near Floriston in Nevada County, around 10:45 a.m., and the cab went over the bridge.
The driver was ejected and hit the embankment below, leading to major injuries, CHP said.

There is no estimated reopening of the roadway.
