A new poll conducted by Kantar Institute for Kan News finds that the Amcha Yisrael Party led by Ofir Winter would pass the electoral threshold with four seats in the Knesset, but would weaken the Likud and Otzma Yehudit parties.
According to the poll’s findings, if the elections were held today, Yashar would win 24 seats, the Likud 21, and Bennett and Lapid’s Together Party 14.
The Democrats would win nine seats, Yisrael Beytenu eight, United Torah Judaism eight, the Joint List eight, Otzma Yehudit seven, Shas seven, Religious Zionists five, United Arab List (Ra’am) four, and Amcha Yisrael four.
The Democrats’ and Yisrael Beytenu’s loss of seats since the previous poll weakened the anti-Netanyahu bloc, from 57 to 55. The Netanyahu bloc, on the other hand, gained a seat since the previous poll, going from 51 to 52, while the Arab parties rose to 13 seats thanks to gains by the Joint List.
On the question of suitability for the prime ministership, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu returned to having a slight lead over Naftali Bennett, with 37% of the respondents compared to 36%. Gadi Eisenkot still leads Netanyahu on the same question, with 40%, compared to 37%.
The Kan News poll also found that a joint run by Smotrich and Ben-Gvir, supported by 57% of coalition voters, would weaken them to 10 seats, compared with a combined 12 seats if they ran separately. In that scenario, Winter’s party would rise to five seats.
If Smotrich were to join forces with Moshe Feiglin’s party, Religious Zionism would rise to seven seats, tying Ben-Gvir’s party. This would come at the expense of Winter, whose party would remain below the electoral threshold in that scenario.
In every scenario, the parties led by Benny Gantz, Gilad Erdan and Chili Tropper fail to cross the electoral threshold.
